ahaha i dunno HOW to post multiple photos onto blogger but this is the show ive been watching non stop! i think i overshot the rental period but heck. yah

its good stuff its not showing on tv now but i predict it will. anyway i think every single character from the shenyixialu has appeared inside. the two of them, - except this time the silly follower is a different guy who actually looks much better - then the rival in love is not that gao yuan yuan but its another girl - and the emperor is more shuai and has good muscles. hahaha other than that. so many pple reused! the yu ren jie, the sudden assasinist, her daughter in the last ep

i think my words may have more meaning if i type a synopsis at some synopsis vcd place. and it was precisely why i cudnt find a decent synopsis around that is so annoying. but good cause it preserved the dramatic ending and made it such a good watch.

ya but okae i shall consider that another time maybe on spcnet. cause they're good but they're so good that if i write one for them they might not consider it.

ANYWAY. here's the story.

wumeiniang grows up in this nice family in this nice town. she makes two very good friends. yingying and xiaoduo. xiaoduo is a guy. anyway so they become sworn siblings cause they grew up together and had so much fun together.

one day the crown prince goes on a walk along this silly town she lives in. and spots her. okae interestingly she's supposed to be drop dead gorgeous. i dun really see that she's that beautiful to be swooned over at first sight but ah ya. guess what the crown prince falls in love just by looknig at her and he has a portrait of her drawn. for him to admire at home.

meanwhile she goes along with her life and meets this li jun xian who is -zhaowenzhuo and they start this pre courtship stuff. haha erh for some reason they have this purple bracelet each like some birthgift momento thing. anyway that was what made them first meet. she thought he stole hers - when acutally they both had one each same colour and same pattern. purple. but i think different words.

and then back in the palace. somehow this portrait FALLS into the hands of the emperor and he also love at first sight demands meiniang to be brought into the palace as a gongnu. and guess who goes to carry out this order. li jun xian who happens to be a big general in the palace. anwyay when he went there. the local magistrate didint really like meiniang and somehow or rather caused the death of her father. so despite her not wanting to give up her freedom and go into the palace, she agreed cause she wanted to avenge her father.

now, that local magistrate was afraid wumeiniang might come back and do sth bad to him- so along the way to the palace he tries to kill her. and li jun xian does a lot of things to save her. including this SUDDEN appearance of a HOT AIR BALLOON. (...) anyway by doing so he accidentally fulfills her long time wish of "wanting to fly" and makes her fall more head over heels with him. so in this case she is the one that takes the initiative after so many ying xiong jiu mei times haha.

anyway they reach the palace and more things happen, cause this bad magistrate has an uncle in the palace and this uncle high position and powerful and more trouble is made and lijunxian saves wumeiniang many many times.

meanwhile her two best buddies yingying and xiaoduo enter the palace as palace maids. and xiaoduo regrettably as an eunuch. but he grows on yu and he's such a glib talker and likeable person yu kind of forget he's a eunuch and he serves wumeiniang really well best friends and all he cals her "laoda" all the time.

yingying is also quite pretty and then she falls in love with the crown prince. who is totally smitten by wumeiniang. and so it happens the jealousy that will consequently tear the two good friends apart.

okay so the current emperor VERY OLD. spends the night with wumeiniang. but nobody noes if they actually did anything inside. hahaha wumeiniang pacified him by quoting military books and basically impressing him with her outstanding abilities and then making him drunk. but when she comes out she doesnt say anything so many pple think she actually did sth with the emperor.

anyway a lot of random things happen in between. uh
the emperor came across the rock that hinted that his empire will be overhtrown by a person surnamed WU. haha. okae that put him on guard. but very few pple know about it.

and then this emperor dies.
so the crown prince takes over!

i think ishud really submit this to spcnet cause itll be such a waste.

crown prince becomes emperor. according to their crazy empire guidelines all old women of hte old emperor have to go to become nuns. and that means wumeiniang too.

all this while lijunxian being the blockhead of a loyal subject to the emperor refuses to be seduced by wumeiniang. hahaha the way wumeiniang does it also quite cute lah. but he keeps keeping his distance. until this point when wumieniang has to become a nun. then he realises how stupid he has been.

but anyway wumeiniang keeps her hair because i dunno why but haha they kiss in front of this really beautiful mountains and all that very dramatic kiss.

and then.

the emperor finds out they have kind of eloped so very angry. and
more things happen. the then reigning empress of the new emperor plots to harm wumeiniang cause they are just so plain jealous.

im so tired.

anyway a lot of things happened and the show is so political but it helps to fast forward. but its very nice plotted and i think a far cry from history.

but anway it seems that everyone DIES IN THE END. normally i would be super sad and forever label this a bad show. but for some reason it manages to balance up cause i mean in history she is really much worse than how they portray her.

the story skipped a fair bit between when she ascended the throne and like 30 years later. where i think is the bit where history records her cruelty in her killing her sons and that to maintain power.

but the whole story leading to her ascending the throen really uite heartrending and not suprising she changed cause everyone who assisted her all the way thru DIED or disappeared

the characters all very well developed very good stuff. basically yingying betrayed her. killed her mother (albiet accidentally) killed wumeiniang's daughter. and killed her best friend xiaoduo the eunuch. she even carved those words on the stone to cause the emperors both old and new to turn against her.

she had two allies in court. this old and VERY FUNNY guy. who is like the new emperors uncle and highly respected they all call him lao hu li. anyway he assisted her all the way until she became empress. a pretty long journey. he also doubted her abit cause of the stuipd carvings. but eventually come to realise that she would be a much better ruler than the new emperor and whoa he helped her A LOT.

den the day came when he suddenly like had parkinsons' or alzheimers or a cmobination and he couldnt function and it was very sad cause he just had to give up. and he disappeared from the scene. very sad.

fortunately before that he made her go and find his disciple yurenjie. who is even smarter and sharper. so he bcomes her new ally.

ya so in the end. yingying and her had heart to heart talk but obviously what can they say they reminisced about childhoods and stuff. and in the end yingying drank poisoned wine - there were two cups one no poison one got poison. yingying drank both. and she died

anyway in the whole show wumeiniang cried a lot . and aiseh she can really cry ler. not the whining kind but the stare and stare and stare in anger disappointment or shock and the tears just start forming within like 10 seconds.

throughout the whole thing cause she kind of morphed into a cool character unfazed by many things.

and guess whatttttttt.
lijunxian DIES TOO. gargh. he died like twice.
first he faked his death to make wumeiniang forget about him that kind of rubbish. but he still had to protect her because of the million people who are trying to kill her. and duh she found out. so angryyy with him

and then the second time.
apparently lijunxian was some son of some one so he's actually supposed to rule the court. but uh yah being the oh so solid block of a loyal wooden subject he is he couldnt bring himself to do it despite suddenly all the officials and the people shout for him to overhtrow the emperor thats like the climax of the show.
he runs forward and slits his throat.
and wumeiniang is like O_O
thats when she crumbles and really like weeps. but she for many other reasons wept throughout the whole show too.

but ya so see he dies.

and then the then emperor throws up blood. and like faints.

and then uh some narrator comes in and says from then on the empror ill in bed never to rise again and he died.
leaving wumeiniang to ascend the throne.

the end. haha

i somehow got hold of geraldine's songs she calls herself DEAN. and uh she cant really sing but her voice really quite unique haha how ironic.

ayo wumeiniang is a good show man i havent enjoyed such a good show in such a long time. it was good i didnt mention that this was my interest in the interview or they wouldnt be able to control the barrage that wud comeout. woo hoo
