haha im going to kl in aobut 7 hours time i shud sleep soon.

but such a long journey there a lot of time to sleep what ar.

i just read my hockey journal thing and ive decided ot put in an empty notebook to chronicle my kl trip haha

haha which reminds me of my hockey trip to kl for training last year. which was a really unexpectedly pleasant trip. training food sleep training food sleep see i dun have a proper flow of things cause it was pretty messy. but mostly that. anyway it was a very short time too.

and so. kl here i come.

and i think the myheritage place is a good idea.

and im going kl, hongkong and laos! hahaha

and ive taken to playing isketch all over again. its addictive.

and ive got to wake up at 6am tmrw.

this is what i do at work everyday. i write down here so maybe one year later i can read this and reminisce about how having nothing to do was ssuch a pleasure.

in the morning i wake up at 7:10. den i drag and drag until i final step out at 7:20. i step out of the hosue ard 740 - 750. i wear my cap. i have to catch the 750 train directly to pasir ris. den i squeeze in till my nose is barely in the train. that has changed slightly since i started wearing a cap. but everyday brings different smells. eesh.

den i stone and stare and do nothing. until i rreach outram. at ard 8:17am. and then on good days, i get a copy of today. on bad days i dont. nowadays i usually dont, and now i have no big enough bag to put the newspaper. so i cross the road. the first crossing barely finishes before the second one is mid way thru. and stone my way thru up to ncc. it is 8:23am. and then i enter the main entrace at 8:26am. and up the escalator i keep my ipod and my cap and sign in as 8:25.

so boring this minute by minute details. but its for me to read one year later. ha

and then. depending on the days. i get different doctors. i check the assignments.

on mondays. med onco days, its usually wongns and jchia. wongns is not shuai. altho everyone else seems to think so. joycelyn's ou xiang. but if i assist him in the morning it will be coupled with jchia in the pm whom joycelyn is not a fan of. wongns is slow but uh uh yah. and jchia is very fast. they both regret doing medicine. hahaha

on tuesdays. it used to be drkoo my ou xiang. hahaha but recently it has become sohlt who doesnt order a lot of blood tests but is a fan of doing weird things weird tests and weird requests. and she leaves a lot of unfinished patients she can multi task very well. and she reminds me of my mom. haha

on wednesdays. theres the et and drquah my other favorite dr who is so big and jolly. but its very boring cause radiation there's nth much to do. et can see about 40 plus patients in 2 hours. with 2 dr's helping him so its mad rush and then calm.

on thursdays. my favorite day of the week there's dr choo. its good cause jorene doesnt change my thursdays assignments randomly cause they cant cope with the rest of the doctors on thursday to begin with. and shes amazing. she broke her shoulder that day. and she told me she still drove with one hand.

on fridays. the most boring day of the week. the clinic seems unusually cold those days - cuase there's nth much to do. ive missed quite a lot of fridays due to public holidays and interviews. usually ej and johnlow. a lot of radiation and nth much happening.

so i come in at 830. sign in and look around. say hello
i answer phone calls "morning d clinic ncc YES?"
rather fiercely. because there are so many random calls aroudn the many phones in the clinic. and most of them are asking for staffnursetan.

then sometimes there is the troubleshooting where casesheets are missing and there are many avenues of attempting to resolve the problem by checking next tcu, which doctor, last tcu, movement file, trolleys, asking the nurse last assisting, checking c/s. before resorting to asking jorene.

then the caseshets from the mros come. radiation one comes first with mr ong and mr gan and they push in their trolleys loaded with PINK files. haha pink. and they give us this big book to sign. and the files for the day itself are signed first. and checked.
to check rad files. check for continuation sheets to one pile. then from that pile trace results from isoft. advanced tracing of notes from 3 days. so if its a friday, usually will be checking wednesday notes. and if got any mammograms put up the paper to trace the films.

haha boring boring yah.

den. the med onco ones come. those are the headache ones. the days ones signed. then must cancel them off the days board. in red ink. and check. then advanced check. to check. arrange fbcs/blood tests in a pile and punch hole and fasten, arrange cts, arrange histos, stapler more conitnuation sheets, check for cts before. and shove them into c/s

then slot them all into the trolleys by date and by last two numbers of ic.

these ar ethings i do when the doctor i run has no patients.
usually that will be at the beg and end of the day. or on WEDS and FRI especially.

preparing the room.
computer different systems password and usernames. lists, dr's forms, stamp, calculator, chemo chop, login mcr queue system, curtains, stethoscope, chairs, foot stool,

when the first patient comes.
cancel off list, stamp dr's name, tick class status, write dr's name on appt card, trace blood test results, prepare forms, chemo related stamps. call dr if maybe ard 3 patients arrive. dr comes, calls press queue number, opens door smile, welcome patient. stone. draw curtain go in chaperone, undress pt unbuckle bra strap doctor examines. im very bad at assisiting dr's doing pap smears cause its just a bit weird. and draw curtains, fold up couch paper, look very pro. look at dr's notes, see tcu date, blood tests, chemo.
ac adriomycin whatever is half hour for ca breasts.
oxaliplating with the calcium and mg trials.
folfox, xelox, folfiri, carboplatin, herceptin/anzatax/paclitaxel need premed and fbc 3 weekly, zometa is the bone thing, pamidronte also, group and cross match 48 hours before blood transfusion, prebooking must have tcu time first. annie and saro.
let dr sign the charge form stickers chop. prescription
ct scans to b2 to make appointments. blood tests on same day chemo related?

ah boring.
but what ive been doing for 4 months.

for radiation doctors i have to check the scope this 15000 dollar thing that they warn yu about the first week but after that no one really cares cause yu realize its quite hard to damage it.

im sleepy. hahaha
